Beginning towards a new phase.

In response to today’s one word prompt ” Phase“. 💟

With a cup of coffee in her hand , she was sitting at her balcony , enjoying every moment of the first morning of the new year. Breathing in and out , she observed the tiny dew droplets on the leaf.

Staring into the empty spaces. She thought about life. Life that had been so ridiculous with her  the last year. The unbearable pain , the unimaginable sufferings she had gone through . She thought about all the bad memories of that year. Her eyes watery by now.

She thought about the changes time has brought in her. She was lot more stronger this year. She thought how she overcame her fears , she has now realized the importance of time and family. She felt happy , confident while tears started to fall down her cheeks. She was ready to face the new phase with the smile on her face , hoping the coming time would heal her heart.

While going through pictures in her phone’s gallery , she paused at her photo. She still wasn’t used to being without her.  

“Maa ” she cried as her mother’s photo on the phone’s screen smiled back at her.
