The Wedding Tale

Standing outside the gate , staring down at the carpet , dressed in a red attire with all the make -up and jewellery on her , “you look beautiful” said one of her many cousins standing behind her. She smiles to her ,  adjusting her dupatta for the one last time before entering the wedding hall. She was nervous , nervous about stepping onto a whole new world of responsibilities and adulthood , nervous about the changes that are going to take place ,nervous about her own decisions , nervous about the new life …Shutting down all her thoughts for a while , she has started to walk . 
Standing on the aisle with all the eyes glued on her and the photographers making her more uncomfortable with their demands , ” madam ji upr dekhiye ” said one of them , she follows . She tries to look at the groom who was completely hiding behind the crowd. ” madam idhr dkhiye , smile” said the photographer. She smiles nervously. 
She takes a step further , photographers now making way for her , the crowd clearing the aisle . She could see the way now but not the destination. She looked up and there he was . The groom . Who was staring and smiling like a kid . She smiles to herself. All her nervousness was now gone , the remains were the memories of the time spent with him. 
As she walks she thinks of how they first met with  each other , how a friend of their introduced them at a birthday party.  She thinks of the first handshake , the first smile they gave to each other. 
She thinks of how their friendship turned into a beautiful relationship she has always dreamed of. How he fulfilled all her wishes. How he handles her when she is upset . How he lights up her day when she is down ,she thought. 
Walking and staring at him , she thought of her first kiss , how beautiful it was.  She remembers their “first time ” .She thought of All the promises he has ever made.

Standing infront of him , she approaches the hand he offers her . He comes close to her and whispers in her ears ” i love you ” killing all her doubts with these three magical words
